COPPER - Community Outreach Preparedness

COPPER (Community Outreach Preparedness Program for Emergency Response) launched in 2020, assisted at least 15 families with groceries during 2020-2021, COVID-19 support.

TSCION NGO is reestablishing its preparedness outreach with COPPER (Community Outreach Preparedness Program for Emergency Response). Since the stoppage of COVID-19 support, the Just a Bag program and Click and Drag Senior Tech support service increased, allowing Tscion to re-evaluate how these services can better support the community. Additional medical, living, and food insecurity concerns have expanded during environmental and social changes within the supported US regional areas. Tscion NGO’s support with COPPER, which previously provided food security support during COVID-19, is now looking at medical support, mental health support, and cognitive protection for elders. While Tscion NGO expands past Tscion’s general outreach and research for youth and environmental learning, expanding COPPER allows Tscion to partner with community stakeholders to simplify and improve urgent support needed by community efforts.

These upcoming services will be located within COPPER:

  • Medical Transport Support, Partnered with local Colorado Stakeholder

  • Just a Bag, Food Insecurity Support, and Needs

  • MEMO (Mindfulness for Elder Memory Observation), Archival Stories for Seniors suffering from Cognitive Disability

  • FEMA support for Environmental Disasters and Emergency Evaluation

COPPER will be located under the Programs section and found via help.tscion.org or ngo.tscion.org, starting in August 2023
