Tava Rangers, Honoring Colorado Ute

In 2021, Tscion Sports had planned to launch the "Pike Rangers Health Program "that provided fitness options and health outlets for residents and the community within the "Pikes Peak "area. The discussion to change the name back to its original description, Tava-Kaavi (Sun Mountain), gave Tscion to understanding of Tava-Kaavi and its derived name from Colorado's original inhabitants, the Ute.

Relabeling Pike Rangers Health Program to Tava Rangers Outdoor Enrichments was an opportunity to infuse Ute's historical richness and how the explorer Zebulon Pike and other names that became synonymous with the area. Tava Rangers hope to provide outdoor enrichments that include learning about the land's fitness, health, and environmental significance. We are working with community volunteers who are helping us develop enrichments for youth and adults.

We plan to relaunch our outdoor enrichment program in late 2022/early 2023, based on social balance and COVID-19 allowances.
